The Slack-centered upgrade to Claude introduces a new class of conversational agents: persistent processes that can be proactive and collaborate across users and channels. Instead of one-off replies, teams can deploy agents that monitor deadlines, synthesize thread history, and take multistep actions such as drafting reports, escalating issues, or orchestrating cross-team workflows.
From a business perspective, the benefits are clear: these agents compress coordination costs, automate routine decisioning, and can surface insights from dispersed conversations.
